the year of lyrics: a poetry project

my search for inner-peace, one poem at a time

Day 364 – D.A.S.

If the joy that you seek
Be lifted up once more
Remove your shoes and doubts
Leave them at the door

For the sounds that spell out freedom
Are difficult to bind
Loosely held by thin threads
They are not so pure and kind

These sounds have spent their slumber
Reaching for a greater height
Peace may exist across the worlds
But it may be dimmed by light

Despite the roads that have led you here
You will do all that you must
For you can find refuge in others’ arms
Just seek out the warmth and trust
