Day 359 – Childish Child

When I was a child,
I was encouraged to Dream Big.
I had to Reach for the Stars if I wanted anything at all.
I tasted the Success and Disappointment that came with my efforts.
I built with all of the colors and shapes within my grasp.

But if I can only be Childish one last time
I would politely tell you that this is impossible
I would be Childish if I could everyday
And not in the immature, offensive, inappropriate kind of way.
No, to be Childish is to be Childlike
And I would be a Child every minute of every day
No, I must be Childish if I want to succeed
This can be the only Life that I lead.
