Day 292 – Secret Box

I handcrafted this little box
Where I stuff pictures and papers
Receipts and small treats
And recorded melodies

Inside, it also holds copious amounts of
Generous sunshine and
Goblets of wine
Wrapped cakes, so divine
And cheer I call mine

And between the lock and the key
Is a serene strip of silence
That guards against the deadliest secrets
It protects the content from ever being
Tainted
Exposed
Unleashed
