Day 283 – Weary

Tear rip roar shout and scream
Until true lies hit the floor
We yell because we like it
And yet we only do it more.
We test ourselves for dignity
Yet we drive ourselves insane
We thirst for drink that never comes
And we crave a dose of pain.
And if we should be so bold,
We guide needles to each faults.
We attempt to patch our fractured lives,
And end up cracking our own vaults.
Out goes our stores of Sympathy.
Farewell to our dear Poise
Our senses are overwhelmed
We are blinded by white noise.
If only there were a reason,
To lead our sorrows astray.
But no, we strive to smear our outlook
And soon black and white turn gray.
