Day 273 – Complicated Combo

It’s like, I’m trying to pick a lock,
Trying to break in to this forbidden space.
Inside, an indefinite place where dreams reside.
And, trust me, I’ve tried all of these combinations.
Different numbers.
I’ve twisted them around and around.
Waiting for that infamous click,
When all tension is released,
And I am granted permission to discover what is inside.
This lock, quite discouraging,
It cackles when I try a new combination of numbers.
It taunts me when I try to apply more or less force,
And I try to feel it out with my inner-thief mentality.
Trying to trust my gut feeling.
But I hate waiting for the right one to come along.
Because until then, each attempt affirms that I am wrong.
Searching for the wrong combination, inputs of incorrect action.
I just hope all this waiting brings some sort of satisfaction.
