Day 183 – Deconstructed

On a day that has such a sentimental value
Consider this my first real SHOUT
I hate to lose. And you do too.

You must be right in every fight.
Well, I’m sorry the world DOES NOT love you tonight.
Nor does it ever want to go your way.
How DARE you change the meaning of today?

You see, I gaze upon your
Waxy leaves of the Magnolia tree
And I connect my past and present

With your vines that so eagerly
Wrap their tangled fingers around my hands
Pulling me down
How DARE you try to move like me?
