Day 113 – Sinners

He boasts with too much pride and it sickens the mind
She hates him and stares with envious eyes
For he flaunts his successes and leaves pity behind
She craves and is victim to firecracker lies
And he crashes with hatred of tidal proportions
So she lazily drifts into a hidden retreat
For he casts chaos with diversions, distortions
And she ignores his display and remains obsolete
He kills for power, status, and wealth
So she knows to indulge and live in excess
He moves without concern for his health
And her hunger she does not suppress
Yet, together they’re victim to passion and desire
If I told you their names, you’d call me a liar
