Day 85 – Rain Dance

As the sun prepares to rest its weary eyes
We are invited to dance
On a gentle dance floor
A dance with tears
First: excited
Then the excitement vanishes
And like the swiftly moving winds
We are rushed to the edge of our seats
As we ferociously finish what we started
Too fearful to know that our dreams will be parted
And we get up and begin to move
Swaying to the left, then the right
Allowing the adrenaline to surge through our veins
And soon it becomes one with our pulse
Calming our core
Feet gracefully splashing
Arms frantically flowing
Eyes shifting
Hair soaking
Deep breathes
Exhales
And we rush together
Form the tightest bond you’ll ever see
And watch, carefully
The merciful skies
Bowing to the wishes of the clouds
Hoping for it to pass
