Day 61 – Another Time?

Hey you look kind of familiar, please excuse me for staring.

Hey you look kind of familiar, oh shit, we’re making eye contact.

No really, you look like someone I knew, except we don’t talk much anymore.

No really, I’m just going to look back down and pretend to read now.

Hmm, “A Guide to Personal Finances,” I should probably read up on that.

Hmm, I wonder if I look up, maybe I can catch you when you look away.

I’ll just look straight ahead, and change up my demeanor, I don’t think you see me.

I’ll just readjust myself in this seat so it’s not as unnatural to glance up.

Nearly there, well it was nice avoiding eye contact with you.

Nearly there, too bad I didn’t catch your name.

*Run to the next train*

Oh, let me get the seat closest to the door.

Oh, you’re headed my way too? I’ll sit across from you.

Really? Another few more minutes awkwardly speaking in glances?

Really? I’m pretty sure I’ve seen you before. But I’ll pretend for now.

Here’s my stop.

Here’s my stop.

I’ll run ahead, I’m in a rush after all.

I’ll go the opposite way. Maybe next time?
