Day 36 – Dissipate

It doesn’t matter where you’re going
All that matters is where you’ve been
Glance back at your footsteps
The footprints you’ve left behind
As the steps you have taken
Represent your history and your mind
Your deepest, hidden secrets
Can unravel when given time
So unwind and rewind
Revisit and dream
Unlock and release the chain
Undo the fabric at the seam

Surrender it all to me
Without fear, without fear

You cannot and may not assume
Just resume
With a fire
A purpose
Understand this?

I said: it doesn’t matter where you’re going
Do you remember where you’ve been?
Can you recall and replenish
The painful wounds within?

Open them and let them bleed
They should not all be healed
They cannot unless you want them
To never be revealed
To stay forgotten and left in the cold
So be bold
Be strong
Let your pain belong

Without fear, without fear
Then the hurt will, on its own, disappear
